3. Will creative revisit the Owens – Zayn feud in time for WrestleMania?

Tuesday’s fatal five way match ended in surprising manner as Sami Zayn took out his best friend to get the winning pin. The spot was probably a means to indicate anything could happen this Sunday and that how easy it is for Styles to lose his title. Moreover, it Styles loses the belt, the dream match for the WWE title is off. But we all know that is not going to happen. AJ Styles is going to face Shinsuke Nakamura. The only questions about that match would be about who will play the heel and face there.

But, another subtle question concerns the best friends and lead heels of SmackDown Live. Will their alliance take a fall as their egos clash. I for one certainly want them to stick together longer. Even a run in the tag division would be a good idea before revisiting their feud. If anything, seeing Zayn as cunning and crafty as Owens usually is was a fresh sight.

Like Bleacher Report noted:

"Zayn as the manipulator rather than the manipulated is a nice change of pace and makes him the most interesting performer in Sunday’s bout."

As long as creative ignores the temptation to give us Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens once more, this is fine. These two men are incapable of having a bad match. But that is not an excuse to put them on a feud when they are certainly breaking the barriers and glass ceilings by way of their work together.

Let Owens and Zayn tease the idea of a feud between them. Let it even get to a match at some point before WrestleMania. But please let it end with a ‘Finger poke of Doom’ segment.
