Impact Wrestling 5 Takeaways: Cross Roads

Lashley is Forced to Face OVE Alone
Some truth finally comes out about why OVE attacked Lashley a few weeks ago when they did. Sami Callihan feels like Lashley has been rewarded based on how he looks. Callihan and the Crist Brothers are not your typical world champion that we have seen over wrestling history. Last week, Callihan took out Eddie Edwards with that baseball bat in a bat spot gone wrong. Lashley must do it alone against Dave and Jake Crist.
The Crist Brothers jumped on Lashley on the ramp trying to gain the early advantage. The gang mentality will be prevalent throughout this match. Callihan hit Lashley with that same hat at the beginning of this match to give his brothers the advantage. Lashley looked dominant at the beginning but the numbers kept the match in OVE’s favor. Brian Cage comes into the ring and tags himself in. Cage starts to clean house much as he has in Impact so far.
The Machine somehow hit a combo on OVE that looked like it wouldn’t be possible. As Cage has taken control, Lashley spears Sami Callihan. Cage gets the pinfall victory as a result of the Drill Claw. After the match, Lashley tries to shake the hand of Cage but Cage decides against it. Adding Cage into this match made it much more interesting considering he is set to be Lashley’s last Impact Wrestling opponent.
