3. Will Carmella cash-in at WrestleMania 34?
In the history of Money in the Bank contracts, there has only been one successful cash-in at WrestleMania. The Architect Seth Rollins holds that record. In the history of the WWE, there is only one Miss Money in the Bank, at least for now. That is the Princess of Staten Island, Carmella. Will she repeat Rollins’s feat from WrestleMania 31?
Carmella has been building up her stock and momentum with back to back victories over the week. First she defeated Becky Lynch and Naomi in a tag team match alongside Natalya at Fastlane. This week, she defeated Naomi in singles action. The first ever Miss Money in the Bank suffered immensely in the past simply because creative has had nothing for her to do.
Will her luck change in time for WrestleMania. The match between Charlotte and Asuka for the Women’s title is definitely a main event worth match. What better way to make it even more historic the first ever Women’s MITB contract cash-in as well. Moreover, with Charlotte vs. Asuka, I can see creative being at cross roads as to who should go over.
Should Asuka’s undefeated streak continue? Or should the Queen finally put down the Empress of Tomorrow? Charlotte has put in some fine work to be one of the best female champions in all of pro-wrestling as of now. Asking her to lose cleanly to Asuka is not fair. Of course, ‘fair’ is a very subjective idea in life and in pro-wrestling.
Having Carmella in the mix balance all this. She can basically repeat what Seth Rollins did and pounce on the champion and challenger just as they are exhausted after a classic match. Much like Lesnar and Reigns did, both of them can still find their second (or third) wind even after Carmella’s inclusion but eventually Flair can take the pin, keeping Asuka’s undefeated (unpinned now) streak intact. Moreover, Charlotte will look like a million bucks for fending off both Asuka and an opportunistic Carmella for as long as she did.
