The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) vs. Titus Worldwide (Apollo Crews & Titus O’Neil, w/ Dana Brooke)
Result: The Revival defeated Titus Worldwide via pinfall
Rating: 2.25 out of 5 stars
The best word I can use to describe this match? Meh. It’s like the kiss of death, though. The match was there, not great, not bad, just… there.
And I like all four of these guys, I do! It’s just that WrestleMania season is a tough time for those not in the main event or upper midcard. Even with like 12 hours of programming, and 82 matches on the card, there’s no room for some of these guys outside of the battle royal spots.
Also, how many times are either of these teams going to challenge for the tag titles? You can’t just keep throwing the same two or three teams into title matches and expect things to magically change. So the champs go one direction, and the former challengers go another. It’s the way of the business.
I appreciate the effort being put into making the Shatter Machine a finisher that can come from “outta nowhere.” The Revival are so good at blind tags (even though tonight’s was a bit sloppy) that they really can crack you with it from out of the blue.
I also want to say that the idea of a tag team winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is ridiculous, and it’s going to be a disaster.
Mark Henry to Hall of Fame
It’s an easy joke, but how great would it be if Henry wore the salmon blazer to the induction ceremony, gave a touching, heartfelt speech to lure us in, and once again hit John Cena with the World’s Strongest Slam?
