Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have taken out both of the authority figures on WWE SmackDown, so who will come to restore order in the show?

WWE, especially recently, has put a large focus on authority figures. Each show, Raw, SmackDown Live, NXT, and 205 Live each have at least one authority figure, and they usually play a pretty prominent role on the show.

WWE SmackDown Live was being run by two authority figures until very recently. Shane McMahon was the Commissioner of the show, and he chose Daniel Bryan to be his General Manager. Together, they have been able to be on the same page for decisions despite a lot of tension between the two put on by the meddling of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

However, Shane and Daniel might not be able to run SmackDown Live anymore. Shane McMahon decided it was best for him to take an indefinite leave of absence as Commissioner after letting his emotions get the best of him when decisions involved the likes of Sami and Kevin.

Regardless, Sami and Kevin decided to beat the life out of Shane anyway. They led a brutal assault in and out  of the ring and backstage that could leave him out of action for a while. Then, the duo assaulted GM Daniel Bryan after he announced that he is cleared to wrestle again.

So, with both authority figures injured (in kayfabe), Shane McMahon taking a leave of absence as Commissioner, and Daniel Bryan being cleared as an in ring competitor, who could take over SmackDown Live, either temporarily or permanently, as an authority figure?
