4. Lana

If WWE is serious about Shane McMahon taking an indefinite leave as Commissioner, or if Daniel Bryan will continue his career as a Superstar rather than as a General Manager, Lana could be a viable choice as a long term replacement.

Lana found herself in a successful role as Rusev’s manager before the Surperstar Shakeup. However, after the Shakeup, the couple wanted to go on their own to improve and develop their characters and performance in the company.

Rusev has found his niche with his current Rusev Day gimmick, but Lana has been struggling. After a brief run as an in ring competitor, Lana then took the role as Tamina’s manager and mouthpiece. That seems like a solid spot for her, but Tamina ended up getting injured and is out for an extended period of time.

So, at this moment, there is really nothing planned for one of the best talkers in WWE. She could just fall back into the jobber role in the women’s division, or WWE could focus on utilizing her strength on the mic by appointing her the new SmackDown Live General Manager.

This would be an exciting and fresh take with an authority figure as it would finally be a Superstar that isn’t a legend/part timer or McMahon. Many angles could be put into place after WrestleMania including Lana abusing her power to give Rusev a push.

It’s an unlikely scenario, but I have a feeling that Lana would be able to CRUSH the role of SmackDown Live’s newest authority figure if given the opportunity.
