4. Becky Lynch vs. Ruby Riott
The first-ever Women’s Battle Royal will take place at WrestleMania 34 in under two weeks. And last night’s SmackDown saw two participants in that match square off when The Irish Lass Kicker faced off with the leader of The Riott Squad.
Becky Lynch battled Ruby Riott last night in a match to try and gain momentum heading into WrestleMania 34 and the Women’s Battle Royal formerly known as The Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal. Lynch and Riott have been at each other for many weeks now along with a few others involved, so this was just another interaction between the two.
The match went well at times and saw some pretty nice in-ring psychology involved. Both Lynch and Riott got their offense in and their impressive moments in, but after Lynch got things in her favor towards the end, she wouldn’t let it go to waste and made Riott tap out.
The crowd really never got into it and it sometimes didn’t click like it could have, but this was a pretty good match as a whole. It gives Lynch momentum heading into WrestleMania 34 as well as the first-ever SmackDown Women’s Champion looks to become the first-ever Women’s Battle Royal winner at WrestleMania.
The Irish Lass Kicker took care of business last night and that could carry over into WrestleMania 34 where she looks to make more history.
