3. Daniel Bryan Segment
When it was officially announced that Daniel Bryan was medically cleared to compete in a WWE ring after nearly three years of not being able to wrestle, the WWE universe rejoiced. And as it turns out, the fans won’t have to wait long until Bryan’s in-ring return takes place.
The SmackDown GM gave a passionate promo the week before saying how far he had come to finally get back in the ring before he was eventually laid out by a recently fired Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. This week, however, saw Bryan in a more intense fashion not so GM-like as he addressed Owens and Zayn.
Bryan said how Owens and Zayn tried to take away his return and how he’s sick of dealing with paperwork and meetings and everything that goes along with being the GM. He said he wants to fight and take it to Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania 34, leading to a match being made that has been months in the making.
It will be Bryan and Shane McMahon taking on Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania 34 and if Bryan and Shane O’Mac win, Owens and Zayn stay fired. But if Owens and Zayn win, they will be rehired. In terms of just the promo by Bryan last night, it was very well-done and probably the biggest highlight of last night’s show.
WrestleMania 34 will see the in-ring return of the leader of the Yes Movement, and his mic work last night only helped build anticipation for that return.
