The women’s revolution has allowed WWE fans to get to know more about women’s wrestlers as competitors and people. Here are three female wrestlers who are incredibly inspiring both in and out of the ring.

It’s 2018, and Women Wrestling is as big as it ever could be! But I don’t think these superstars get much recognition as inspiration to all the young women out there who continuously watch the division evolve.

What was once the Diva’s division evolved into the Women’s division thanks to the WWE Universe who believed women deserved more recognition instead of being used for just eye-candy to men. While some men and women disagree with the breakthrough for the women, most have been supportive and encouraging. And with the world evolving, it’s nice to know that wrestling is, too. Change is happening!

My only concern is whether or not this is permanent and will only proceed to grow or if it’s temporary and will fail. We as women don’t get these opportunities often, seeing how the world is usually revolved around men, especially in sports. The whole point of the Women’s Evolution is to prove that we are just as capable as men. We can do it, too! There’s nothing stopping us from winning, and winning as a female!

So, whether or not you’re ready for change, I’m sorry, but it’s happening and you will see women prevail, persevere, and rise!

3. Naomi

On Feb. 12 of 2017, Naomi had defeated Alexa Bliss at The Elimination Chamber for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, making her the first African-American woman to win that title.

Unfortunately, she suffered an injury and had to vacate the title that Tuesday after the pay-per-view. But Naomi persevered from that injury because on Apr. 2, Naomi made her in-ring return in a Six-Pack Challenge in her hometown of Orlando at WrestleMania 33, recapturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship after making Alexa Bliss submit, ultimately proving that hard-work and perseverance pays off.

She then glowified the Women’s Championship, holding it for a reigning 140-days! She later dropped the title to the vicious cat-lover, Natalya. But one thing is for sure, Naomi has influenced young African-American girls, showing them that they can do absolutely anything no matter the circumstances.

Young girls look up to Naomi as she had become their glowful neon hero they love and adore all-so much. Married to one-half of The Usos, everyone could clearly see during the Mixed Match Challenge that Naomi and Jimmy Uso boost each other up. Just remember, nobody can put out the GLOW!
