2. Roman Reigns

For as unpopular as he is to a wide portion of the WWE universe, Roman Reigns is yet again in a main event-caliber position at WrestleMania.  But this year, unlike the past three, might be the most crucial in terms of who needs to emerge victorious.

Reigns will battle Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, which Lesnar has held since defeating Goldberg at WrestleMania 33.  It has been a long, inconsistent, and rarely-appeared title reign for The Beast Incarnate, but can The Big Dog be the guy to end the Lesnar era of the Universal Championship?

This will be a rematch of the WrestleMania 31 battle between the two and if this version ends up at least on the same level as the previous battle, it will be a very good match.  Outside of just the caliber of the match itself, the result of the match needs to go in favor of Reigns in the most desperate way possible.

The Universal Championship has been in one of the worst states of any world title in WWE history over the past year.  It has been rarely defended and rarely on TV, so putting the belt on The Big Dog just seems right at WrestleMania 34.  It will not go over well for much of the WWE universe, but seeing what Reigns can do with the belt compared to what Lesnar has done will be worth it in the long run.

The Big Dog hasn’t been a world champion since mid-2016, so it’s time to crown him once again as the top champion on the red brand.
