Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami Vs Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik

Result: No Decision

Grade: C

These tag teams have been locked in a feud for nearly a month now, and the brand is just clearly just waiting for WrestleMania to be done and dusted before they introduce the tag team titles.

All four men are incredibly talented in the ring, and having them feud for so long makes the teams feel as though they are legitimate tag teams, and not just superstars thrown together because of their ethnicity. Whether there are enough teams on 205 Live to keep the division interesting remains to be seen.

Their match-up this week wasn’t as strong as other weeks, but the story behind the match provides plenty of reason for that. With there being no clear-cut heels or faces in this feud, the build has been focused on the teams interrupting each other and the match breaking down as a result.

This week’s encounter turned chaotic pretty quick, and keeping up with the legal man was extremely difficult. The referee eventually stopped the match due to all of the chaos.

While finishes like this are not anything new, it felt like a logical way to continue the feud. Neither team has been able to get the better of the other, and when they do finally collide for the titles, there is no obvious favourite to win the belts, which makes for a refreshing change. This has been a really enjoyable feud, on the whole, I just hope that the division has legs on the brand.

Drew Gulak Hypes His Match With Mark Andrews

Drew Gulak is seen backstage cutting a promo for his match with Mark Andrews. Gulak says their scheduled match has been postponed until next week, and that he is going to make Andrews tap. He declares himself the brand’s submission specialist. Gulak has been in great form since Enzo left the company, and he is quickly becoming one of the brand’s star attractions.

Andrews responds with a recorded message, which was fine, but this was really Gulak’s segment. The show is doing a nice job of building the brand for after WrestleMania.

Tony Neese Vs Jonathan Pierce

Result: Tony Neese Wins With the Running Nese

Grade: Squash

Tony Neese was out for this week’s squash match. Neese makes quick work of Jonathan Pierce, defeating him in under 2 minutes in a fairly impressive performance. Neese was in need of a victory, so this was a nice way for him to build some momentum.
