The rules of the mixed-gender tag match state that superstars can only compete with superstars from their same gender, which means that Rousey will be squaring off with Stephanie, and Kurt will be facing off with Triple H. The company could easily change this in a backstage segment during WrestleMania, in a move that would no doubt add further intrigue to one of the night’s biggest matches.
While it may be questionable to have the company’s CEO laying his hands on Rousey, they may take the risk and mix up the format a little on Sunday night. The company want to make Rousey look like a monster, and having her force Triple H to tap out would certainly do that.
Mixed gender exchanges could be kept to a minimum, right until the end, where Rousey is up against Triple H. This could lead to Rousey having a brief exchange with Triple H, before making him tap out in the middle of the ring.
Putting a female performer over a male is a great way to make them look dominant, doing it over Triple H, one of the most established performers in the history of the company, would certainly provide WrestleMania, and Ronda Rousey with a historic moment.
