2. Shane Turns on Daniel
Ok, this one isn’t necessarily all that bold. Many wrestling fans have been sniffing a fall out between Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan since the Fall when the two were conflicted in regards to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, their WrestleMania opponents. If I was going to go really bold, I’d predict that Bryan would make the heel turn. But let’s be honest. Bryan could slap a puppy on national television and it wouldn’t change how the WWE Universe feels about him one bit. Even he did turn on Shane and align himself with his former friends, the crowd would just cheer for the new trio. If there’s going to be a turn, it has to be Shane, and that’s exactly what will go down in New Orleans.
With Bryan finally being cleared for in-ring activity after over two years, it would be in the company’s best interest to put him in a high-profile feud right away. What better way than to re-acclimate one of the best baby faces of all time than to pit him against two of the best heels right now in Zayn and Owens, and one of the best and nefarious of all time in Shane? A feud between Bryan and these three could keep him busy throughout the Spring and Summer before eventually leading to a SummerSlam showdown with either Styles or Nakamura for the WWE Championship.
So the big question regarding all of this is simple. Would the WWE sacrifice what could be a heart-warming WrestleMania moment of Bryan returning to the ring in favor of a sadistic, back-stab? For the sake of an entertaining future, let’s hope so.
