1. Heyman Turns on Lesnar; Aligns With Reigns

Two back-stabs in one night? Why not? It makes so much sense especially in the Universal title match. Lesnar is heading back to the UFC. This we know. The chances of him defeating Reigns are jack and squat, and Jack left town. So what better way to send him off than by screwing him over by a man who’s been by his side off and on since 2002? It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. In November of 2002, Heyman double-crossed Brock at Survivor Series and began managing The Big Show. The difference back then was that Heyman’s turn was used as a mechanism to turn Lesnar face and try and make him into the star everyone knew he could be. This time it could be used to give Brock a reason to come back somewhere down the line, if he so chooses.

This would also be huge for Reigns. We all know “The Big Dog’s” story. Young, hungry member of The Shield that was seen by the WWE brass as the next mega-star only to be rejected by fans who felt that he was handed way too much way too quickly. His promos which essentially were a charisma black-hole didn’t help either. He’s been treated like a heel by the fans for the past four years now, why not steer into the skid? And with Heyman by his side, not only would he register as a top bad guy champion, he’d have the best promo guy in the company with him to do all his talking. That would be a very welcome sight.

If this is the main event Sunday, and all indications point to it being just that, it’s going to need some type of drama. Reigns last two Mania main events have not exactly been barn-burners and if the WWE wants to avoid a third straight year with Reigns being booed out of the building out of disgust, they’ll do something original here. And with Lesnar on the way out, Heyman will need a new angle too. It all just works.
