4. Chad Gable

If you are one of those fans, like me, who was upset about American Alpha being broken up, then am sure you’re all in for this idea. Essentially, what happened was that creative opted to break up an entertaining young tag team which had subsequent momentum. Jason Jordan was placed in a ridiculous storyline with Kurt Angle as his father and was moved to Raw.

This left Chad Gable without a partner on Tuesday nights. Eventually, Shelton Benjamin showed up to be his new tag team partner. Jordan on the other hand, teamed up with Seth Rollins to become a tag champion. To summarize, Jordan was broken up from his tag team partner to move to another brand and be a part of another make shift tag team, before an unfortunate neck injury put him out of action.

While American Alpha was disbanded, we saw flashes of a charismatic singles performer in Gable. To this day, I believe creative picked the wrong member of American Alpha to be Angle’s illegitimate son, if they really had to go through with that storyline. Gable put on some great matches against the likes of Rusev and AJ Styles. Pairing him with Shelton Benjamin did not do as much good as one would have hoped.

As such, it would be great to break up their team and allow both stars to spread their wings on different brands. Shelton Benjamin can thrive as a singles star on Tuesday nights while Gable would be a fine addition to the mid-card on Monday nights. Then, once Jordan returns to action, creative can pair them up or form a new Team Angle.
