Professional wrestling took New Orleans by storm and these are some matches that you must go back and watch on demand.

The hashtag #MoreThanMania was true to form as excitement grew for WrestleMania 34. Sunday’s spectacular event was preceded by a number of wrestling cards throughout New Orleans. If WrestleMania is the “Granddaddy of them All,” then all of the grand children came out to play this weekend in order to show up one another. Promotions of all sizes put forth some intriguing matches featuring some of their biggest names.

Ring of Honor, Evolve, World Wrestling Network, Lucha Underground, Impact and many others put on events that wrestling fans should take the time to see. The best part of it is that many of these organizations work with some of the best on the independent scene allowing for some intriguing, long-term story telling. Also, all of these events featured various forms of professional wrestling from shoot style, to British Strong Style, to Lucha Libre and more.

In order to give fans the best events, that means that promotions have to put forth their best matches. With that in mind, these are some of the best matches that occurred during this weekend that were not a part of the WWE. These matches feature some names that most will recognize, but that doesn’t take away from the compelling action that occurred within the ring.

Thankfully, we are experiencing an age when the Internet has such a positive impact on professional wrestling. If you missed watching these matches live, and with so much action going on that’s easily possible, you can go back to catch these events on demand. But only do so through paid avenues as anything else than that is akin to stealing. Nevertheless, these are some of the biggest matches that occurred before WrestleMania 34 and all wrestling fans should go back to catch these events.
