Cesaro & Sheamus

Honestly, this could be the entire tag team division on Raw, and I could write pretty much the same thing. But since The Bar were the focal point of the big happenings, it’s only fitting they get the recognition here.

After winning a tag team battle royal singlehandedly as few weeks before Mania, Braun Strowman earned the right to challenge for the Raw Tag Team Championships. The catch? He needed a partner.

And he picked a literal child.

Of course, Braun and the kid — Nicholas — won the match, and the championships, and The Bar immediately became “team who lost to a ten year old.” Seriously, Kurt Angle dropped that exact line on them the following night on Raw. While Cesaro & Sheamus will be getting thier contractually guaranteed rematch (kinda) at The Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, you can’t ignore the fact that this was a bad decision.

Again, it’s not just The Bar who comes out on the wrong side of the equation. The Revival, Gallows & Anderson, and to a lesser extent Heath Slater & Rhyno all look worse off after the finish to this match. When you throw in the fact that less than 24 hours after winning the match, Braun and Nicholas relinquished the titles, there’s one question at hand:

Why?
