WWE: 3 Superstars That Need A Brand Switch To Win A World Title

1. Finn Balor
When a superstar becomes the first-ever champion for a particular world title, it wouldn’t seem like it would be hard for that superstar to rejoin that title picture. But for Finn Balor, that has rung true ever since becoming the first-ever Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016.
Balor only held the title for one day after having to relinquish it due to injury and ever since he returned from that injury about one year ago, he hasn’t truly returned to the Universal Championship picture. His direction has been improving over the past few months, but he still feels a long way away from the Universal Championship discussion.
The Demon King has been involved in the Intercontinental Championship picture in recent weeks, but it feels next to impossible that he will rejoin the Universal Championship picture on Raw any time soon. The next best option for Balor to return to a world title level would be a switch over to SmackDown.
He would fit in perfectly on Tuesday nights and could certainly play his way into the WWE Championship picture. Plus, the number of potential outstanding matches Balor could have on SmackDown is enticing enough. It wouldn’t have to happen immediately, but Balor could definitely add intrigue to the WWE Championship picture.
