1. Ember Moon

I don’t think there’s anybody who is easier to root for on this list than Ember Moon, whose main roster career started off with a bang when she hit Alexa Bliss with “The Eclipse” and pinned the former Raw Women’s Champion.

Moon is one of WWE’s best babyfaces, sellers, and athletes, and she’s also one of the most genuine talkers. That last point is especially important, because the WWE has had issues with booking believable babyfaces. Bayley’s promos came off as corny, and the WWE’s inability to help her get over on the main roster after her success in NXT was one of the biggest disappointments of 2017.

This may sound overly optimistic, but I don’t foresee that being a problem for Moon. She isn’t exactly on Becky Lynch’s level as a babyface promo, but Moon comes off as equal parts down-to-earth and bad-ass. During her matches, she fights through the pain and sells to make sure the crowd knows they need her support in order to avoid defeat, yet Moon always leaves you knowing that she has a chance to pull out the win regardless of the caliber of opponent or the injury she is selling.

Having “The Eclipse” in her arsenal certainly doesn’t hurt either, and there’s an argument to be made that it is both WWE’s most difficult and most impressive finisher. Most of the women on the main roster are experienced in the ring, so they know how to take the move properly and showcase it in all of its power (refer to Mickie James’s sell of the move on the latest episode of Raw).

I’m ecstatic to see the matches Moon has on the main roster with the likes of Sasha Banks and Natalya, and I could see her capturing the Raw Women’s Championship at some point this year. Out of all of the singles competitors on this list, Moon has the best chance of capturing a title in the coming months, and that’s a combination of the situation she finds herself in and her own prodigious talent.
