Impact Wrestling Redemption 2018 Match Predictions
House of Hardcore Six-Man Tag Match
Ohio Versus Everything (oVe) vs. Eddie Edwards, Moose, and Tommy Dreamer
Prediction: The babyfaces
Oh man, I’m teetering back and forth on this one.
But first, let me get this out of the way. Sami Callihan legitimately injured Eddie Edwards at an Impact taping months ago in a stupid botched spot that led to Callihan hitting Edwards in the head with a baseball bat. It was reckless, unnecessary, and made all the more embarrassing by the fact that Impact gave the green light to Callihan to start littering social media and TMZ with claims about how he’s “not sorry” about the incident. It was dumb and did nothing to help the company.
On the bright side, this six-man tag match looks awesome. I could see oVe getting the nod in a House of Hardcore match for two reasons. Firstly, because it would be a big deal for them to defeat a team containing Tommy Dreamer in a hardcore-style match, and it would really put them over as THE hardcore guys in Impact. Secondly, oVe are supposed to be fierce, willing to win by any means, and difficult to beat as a cohesive unit.
The problem is that it’s kind of a bad look if the evil heel team that has been gloating about bashing someone in the head with a baseball bat wins. Moose already took a clean loss to Eli Drake and lost his world title shot, while Edwards desperately needs revenge on Callihan.
I can envision a situation in which Dreamer, who is clearly the odd man out in this match despite its stipulation, takes the pin in a loss.
Although the “anything goes” nature of this match seems to favor oVe, I just can’t pick against Moose and Edwards here.
