1. New-Look Raw Women’s Division Sets The Tone For Its Future

The Raw women’s division has been on a positive wave of momentum over the past few months with several intriguing storylines in play.  And in last night’s main event, these storylines would all be on display in a 10-woman tag team match featuring several of the division’s new superstars via the superstar shakeup.

The Riott Squad, Natalya, and Ember Moon are all recent acquisitions for the red brand in recent weeks and they were part of the match last night that saw The Riott Squad, Alexa Bliss, and Mickie James against Moon, Nia Jax, Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.  There were several storylines going on in this match which put it over the top.

The action was solid throughout and even saw an outside dive by Jax at one point.  The kayfabe injury suffered by Natalya would be the biggest story of the match and after James continued to attack her while she was already down, Ronda Rousey made her presence felt to help her friend Natalya out.  Rousey put James in an armbar which technically lost the match for Natalya’s team, but the result didn’t matter that much.

Seeing this new-look women’s division on display last night definitely builds anticipation for the future of the division and what fans can be in store for.  The Banks and Bayley storyline is far from over, Jax and Bliss aren’t done with each other, The Riott Squad certainly has chaos up its sleeve, and then the dynamic between Rousey and Natalya as friends will play a big role.
