Night 10 of the NJPW Road to Wrestling Dontaku features two intriguing singles matches. David Finlay challenges Jay White for the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship.
We will also see Tomohiro Ishii vs. Toa Henare in a very interesting match. I expect this one might steal the show since Ishii is always great, and Henare is looking to impress the NJPW fans.
Ren Narita, Shota Umino, Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Tomoyuki Oka, Jushin Thunder Liger, Yuji Nagata
More of the same here with the usual opening young lion match. They highlighted Oka quite a bit, and Narita and Umino are clearly at the top of the class. Nagata got the win with a cross face after a few minutes in a fun opener.

Roppongi 3K (SHO, YOH, & Rocky Romero) (CHAOS) vs. Suzuki-gun (TAKA Michinoku, Taichi, & Takashi Iizuka)
This match is a rematch from the night before. RPG3K took it to Suzuki-gun to try and avoid the DQ, but Suzuki-gun have magical cheating powers. Taichi managed to cause a ref bump. He went to smash Rocky with the microphone but SHO stopped him. SHO and Taichi fought over the microphone, and SHO accidently for the DQ finish. This sucked.

Result: Suzuki-gun via DQ

RPG3K’s in ring action was good, but the finish really left a sour taste in my mouth. Now we have two DQ finishes with these six man matches, which is frustrating.
KUSHIDA, Michael Elgin, & Togi Makabe vs. CHAOS (Will Ospreay, YOSHI-HASHI, & Toru Yano)
Oh my goodness, the preview that Ospreay and KUSHIDA gave us here was so awesome. There was a great exchange of fast paced holds and attacks. KUSHIDA is looking to show that he’s not second fiddle to anyone, and Ospreay better get ready. Every interaction they had here was great, and built towards their match. I can’t wait to see it.
