WWE Raw Power Rankings: Braun Strowman Flattens Competition
By Bryan Heaton
8. Nia Jax
The Raw Women’s Champion is well deserving of her spot atop the division, even if she may not be the woman atop our power rankings. But babyface Nia Jax has been a revelation, which I’ll admit was a surprise to me. She just seemed so good in the “monster enforcer” type role that it would have been a mistake to try something different. I’m happy to admit I was dead wrong, because Jax is on fire.
Of course, Nia’s big selling point as a character is her unparalleled strength and power advantage over just about any other competitor in the division. With new blood on Monday nights to go up against Jax — the Riott Squad most notably for now — there’s no shortage of opportunities for her to kill it.
7. Bobby Lashley
Back in WWE after a decade, Lashley hasn’t lost a step, and as he gets more and more time in the ring, he looks better and better. His re-debut appearance the night after WrestleMania was a good start, as he made short work of Elias without the confines of a match. And last week, Lashley was part of the 10-man tag main event, and he once again displayed his ferocity in the ring.
This week, though, was the most work so far, as Lashley teamed with Braun Strowman to defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Lashley actually had to withstand some offense, showing a rare vulnerability. But the stalling suplex, which seems to be his de facto finisher, is a spectacle, and we all know how much WWE likes their spectacles.
