WWE Women’s Tag Division: Potential teams and factions
Carmella, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Alicia Fox
Regardless of if they are called the IIconics, Iconic Duo or by any other name – Peyton Royce and Billie Kay made a statement when they appeared on Smackdown Live two weeks ago. They attacked Charlotte and cost her the title when Carmella cashed in the briefcase. Carmella did a great job playing up the idea that she had nothing to do with their debut, but WWE Creative should leverage that into a long term storyline, bringing them together as a faction.
Royce and Kay should focus on the tag team titles, while Carmella is the champion. The addition of Alicia Fox gives the team a veteran heater that can perform in the ring and not take away any steam from any of the three women who are getting the main push. Fox has consistently showed that she’s a veteran that can deliver in the ring, her character is steadily improving and her matches work (even the botches which she plays off very well).
Carmella, Royce, Kay and Fox would be an interesting group that can be the main attraction for the women’s division on either brand. They could be a force as a faction that helps draw attention to any of the babyface wrestlers that would oppose them. Then, there’s the opportunity to set up both Carmella and Royce as even bigger stars in the future.
