RISE’s Big Summer: IMPACT Partnership and Weekly Shows on Demand

RISE is more than SHIMMER’s developmental brand, and they’re proving it this summer with a new IMPACT partnership and a new weekly streaming show.

If you’re familiar with SHIMMER, you’ve probably heard of RISE. If you aren’t sure what they do, their Patreon page says it best:

"It all began with a simple idea – Use today’s top performers and industry legends to develop tomorrow’s generation of women professional wrestlers […] We offer a unique combination of World Class Development Seminars and Live Events. Our Live Events showcase talents direct from our seminars mixed with some of today’s top independent attractions."

If you’ve been lucky enough to see RISE live, you know why they’ve been able to make such an impression in such a short amount of time. A RISE show is a great chance to see a mix of incredible, well-known talents like Nicole Savoy and Tessa Blanchard alongside rising stars like Delilah Doom. Women’s wrestling legends such as Madusa and Bull Nakano have also put their stamp on the brand, appearing at events and seminars to help grow new talents.

The sky is the limit for RISE, and while the brand is still growing, they show no signs of slowing down. RISE recently solidified a partnership with IMPACT Wrestling, with the goal of developing new female talent through co-branded seminars and events.

IMPACT and RISE’s first joint venture will be “Lights! Camera! ACTION: The Art of TV!”, a seminar on TV wrestling, that is open to all talent, and at least one RISE wrestler will have the opportunity to wrestle for IMPACT. This will be followed by the co-branded Rise of the Knockouts tag-team tournament on July 9th, which organizers hope will be the largest women’s wrestling event in Illinois history. (Tickets for both are available here.)

RISE’s connection to SHIMMER talent and the awesome female faces of IMPACT’s knockout division (such as Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie) give this partnership a lot of promise. This kind of collaboration creates great opportunities for wrestlers and promotions alike:

"“From our beginnings, we have said that the future of pro wrestling is in collaboration, not competition,” said RISE founder and Executive Producer Kevin Harvey. “IMPACT Wrestling clearly believes this too. We can’t wait to work in tandem to build a bridge to a very bright future for women’s wrestling."

Daily DDT will be covering this show as it’s released , so stay tuned for more information as it develops and get ready for RISE!
