Big Cass is trying to make an impact on his own, and he is trying to do it at the expense of Daniel Bryan as the two clash at WWE Backlash 2018.

Daniel Bryan fought for his dreams, and because of that, they fought for him and he is now CLEARED to wrestle for WWE. And he just isn’t wrestling as a part timer; he is back on a FULL time schedule.

Daniel Bryan wowed the crowd with his performance at WrestleMania 34, teased a dream match with AJ Styles on the following SmackDown Live, and lasted the longest in Royal Rumble history at The Greatest Royal Rumble.

Bryan showed he is better than ever and left fans craving all of the dream matches we thought we’d never get. Will Bryan face Styles, Joe, Shinsuke, Miz, Almas, Jeff Hardy, or even Rusev upon his return? No. Instead, we get Big Cass.

At first, this seems kind of like a let down, but the returning Cass is back with something to prove. Bryan has been getting all of the attention for returning to action while Cass’s return to the ring has slid under the radar despite being seven feet tall.

It appears Cass took this time off to work on his promo game as he seems a lot more comfortable with a mic in his hand even if his material consists of “I’m bigger so I’m better”.

This may not have been the feud we wanted, but there is no denying that Cass is garnering massive heat against WWE’s greatest babyface. On a very odd WWE Backlash 2018 card that is dealing with old and rehashed storylines from WrestleMania, this is one match that should provide some fresh and exciting storytelling.

The only problem is that the end of this specific story may not be the one everyone wants and expects, but Big Cass coming out on top would be best for business.
