WWE NXT: Results, Grades and Analysis for May 2nd

TM61 Vs Street Profits
Result: TM61 Win with a roll-up
Grade: C-
TM61 have not been seen on our TVs since they lost to The Authors of Pain in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Classic back at the end of March. The two teams put on a fun little back and forth match here, that went for just under four minutes.
TM61 picked up the victory with a roll-up and the use of the ropes, which suggests that they are now going to be a heel tag team going forward. This will likely spark a mini TV feud between the two teams over the next few episodes.
Kassius Ohno is being interviewed backstage about Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. He talks about his history with both men, especially Gargano, and he says that he is going to take out Ciampa on next week’s NXT.

Kona Reeves Vs Scott Patrick
Result: Kona Reeves wins with a Hawian Drop
Grade: Squash
After weeks of vignettes, Kona Reeves made his return on this week’s NXT in a very quck squash match. The bout was fine and Reeves looked okay, his gimmick still needs some work, but I guess I shouldn’t forget that NXT is considered a developmental brand.

Bianca Belair Vs Candice LaRae
Result: Bianca Belair wins with the alley-oop
Grade: C
Bianca Belair is one of the most interesting female talents on the NXT roster, she has a great look and she is solid in the ring, so it was nice to see her get a big win over Candice LaRae this week. The match told a good story, with LaRae coming across as pre-occupied by her husband’s current state, allowing Belair to dominate the majority of the proceedings in the match-up.
Belair picked up the victory with the alley-oop at the end of the match, while LaRae lay on the floor struggling to cope with what is happening. This was a nice way of continuing the Ciampa/Gargano feud, without having either of them on television.
