WWE Backlash 2018 is rapidly approaching as the two biggest brands in the WWE occupy the same show for the first time since the announcement of the return of co-branded pay-per-views.

The superstars of Raw and SmackDown will be on display at WWE Backlash 2018 with the top current angles and storylines converging onto one show with several key matches taking place.

The card might not be officially set in stone yet, but out of the matches already scheduled for the show, there are several superstars that could use a win.  With that being said, let’s take a look at three superstars that need a win the most at WWE Backlash 2018.

3. Carmella

It was starting to seem like a lost cause that Carmella could ever reach the pinnacle and successfully cash in her Money in the Bank opportunity that she held for nearly a year.  But when it finally happened, fans were generally happy to see her win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

She successfully cashed in on Charlotte Flair, the standard bearer of the women’s division on Tuesday nights and one of the greatest women’s competitors in WWE history.  Granted, it was only because of The IIconics, but The Queen Of Stanton Island is now the women’s champion of the blue brand.

Charlotte’s rematch for the title will take place at Backlash this Sunday with high stakes for both superstars, but especially for Carmella.  It seems like she needs the win more than Charlotte given how her career has gone up to this point.  Carmella needs to keep her title at Backlash to preserve the months of anticipation it took to finally get to that point.

It would look like a bit of a waste to have her wait so long to cash in and then have her lose the title back in practically no time.  Not to mention, it won’t be hard for Charlotte to re-enter the championship picture again while the same can’t be said for Carmella, who has had a rockier road to success on the main roster than what Charlotte has had.

Two queens will battle it out this Sunday for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but The Queen Of Stanton Island needs to be the one leaving with the gold.
