1. Shinsuke Nakamura

The hype surrounding the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 34 was among the most hype a match at WrestleMania had in a long time.  And while many believe the match didn’t live up to its expectations, the heel turn of Shinsuke Nakamura dramatically changed the course of Tuesday nights.

Some fans were skeptical of how Nakamura’s turn to the dark side would go, but so far, it has rejuvenated his career and been a big success.  The King Of Strong Style feels in his element operating in this version of his character and it hasn’t only helped him out, but it has also helped out WWE Champion AJ Styles.

Styles retained his title against Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 and then kept his title at the Greatest Royal Rumble event against Nakamura via a double count out.  So, can Nakamura survive another shortcoming against Styles at Backlash, this time in a no disqualification match?  Maybe he can, but just to be safe, Nakamura needs to win the WWE Championship here.

His newfound heel persona has done wonders for him, so the WWE needs to capitalize on this wave of momentum.  And let’s be honest, it’s time for him to finally reach his potential and win the big one.  If he fails to win the WWE Championship for the third time in a month, it could set Nakamura back at a very untimely moment.
