Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Su Yung Has Magnificent Week
8. Su Yung
When Su Yung first debuted on Impact Wrestling, I wasn’t sure if she’d be a star in the Knockouts Division, but I’m pretty much 100% on board the bandwagon now. Her segment with Rosemary and Allie to close out the most recent episode of Impact so well done, and I have to give her all the credit in the world for portraying this gimmick so well. It’s one of the best in wrestling right now, and she seems legitimately deranged, pissed, and possessed.
Yung seems destined to win the Knockouts Title at some point in 2018, and her feud with Rosemary has “Feud of the Year” written all over it. These are two of the best characters going, and they can both wrestle. The “Panic Switch” Yung hit on Rosemary off the stage and onto a table was just…*kisses fingers*
7. Eli Drake (Impact World Tag Team Champion)
Already an Impact World Tag Team Champion alongside Scott Steiner after cashing in one of this briefcases, Eli Drake will use his other briefcase to challenge Pentagon Jr. for the Impact World Championship next week.
The easy money would be on Pentagon Jr. retaining, because there is still so much more to do with him as world champion. And they wouldn’t have a world title change on television, especially if it’s just Drake, who is already a tag champ, taking it off of Pentagon Jr.
Even so, Drake’s promos are always entertaining, and I always get a kick out of him saying, “Shut up, I’m not talking to you dummies.”
