Pro Wrestling EVE: Championship Results from WrestleQueendom

Wrestle Queendom was a smashing success, with match-of-the-year contenders and huge shakeups for the EVE roster. So who came out on top?

(WARNING: WRESTLEQUEENDOM SPOILERS AHEAD. If you’re waiting to view the PPV on Fite TV or EVE on Demand, turn back now!)

Wrestle Queendom took place on May 5th. It was a historic and well-received event, and despite some technical difficulties, viewers were treated to some of the best wrestling that has taken place in any promotion this year. (Expect to see Meiko Satomura VS Kay Lee Ray in at least a few MOTY shortlists this December.)

While all of the action was exciting, it was a special night in particular for fans of the Ace of EVE, Fearless Charlie Morgan. In a stunning victory over reigning champion Sammii Jayne, Charlie secured the Pro Wrestling EVE championship, ending Sammii’s reign and signaling the beginning of a new era at EVE.

Morgan is a well-known fan favorite among UK wrestling fans, and also is one of the few out-and-proud gay wrestling characters in independent wrestling. We could not be more excited to see what is next for this talented wrestler, and how this shake-up will affect Pro Wrestling EVE. Congratulations to Charlie Morgan!

Other results included:

  • Nina Samuels was victorious in the Wildcard Ladder Match. The Wildcard contract allows an EVE wrestler to challenge for the championship at any time.
  • #SquadGoals came out on top over The Deserving, giving Rhia O’Reilly the final word in her ongoing feud with the heels of EVE- for now.
  • Meiko Satomura lost to Kay Lee Ray in a shocker ending to their match, marking the first time Meiko has ever lost in an EVE ring.
  • Viper lost to joshi wrestling legend Aja Kong.
  • Jetta and Kris Wolf’s match resulted in a double KO.
