3. Cesaro vs. Xavier Woods

Two of the most successful tag teams in recent WWE memory have been The New Day and The Bar.  These teams have history together as well with Sheamus and Cesaro ending the record-breaking tag team title reign of The New Day back in 2016.

Thanks to the superstar shakeup, The Bar is now on the same brand with The New Day again and the teams have already crossed paths.  It started with backstage interactions that led to Xavier Woods upsetting Sheamus the previous week on SmackDown, but last night saw Woods get the opportunity to knock off Cesaro as well.

This feud has already been entertaining with The Bar hating the antics of The New Day, and this match and outside shenanigans were filled with entertainment.  The actual match itself was very solid as well even if it didn’t get an abundance of time.  Woods really shined and showed how talented he is inside the squared circle.

The outside shenanigans between Sheamus and the rest of The New Day were great as well, but ended up being the difference and Cesaro countered Woods’ high-risk maneuver with a huge uppercut to get the win.  If the first couple weeks of the feud means anything, this could be a very good feud between two of the best tag teams in the WWE today.

Woods vs. Cesaro was very fun from start to finish and helped build intrigue for what this feud can offer moving forward.

Final Grade: B+
