WWE Money in the Bank 2018 Match Card Predictions Version 1.0
Money in the Bank Tag Team Ladder Match
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre vs. The Ascension vs. Breezango vs. The Authors of Pain vs. The Usos vs. The Bar vs. Sanity vs. The Club
At Backlash, the tag team division was completely out of the picture, and that’s a problem. While dual-branded pay per views give fans a chance to see their favorites, namely the likes of AJ Styles and Seth Rollins, more frequently, this style of PPV hurts the tag team scene. It’s hard for the WWE to get every title on the card, so they won’t bother doing that, which is good. What’s problematic is that the tag team division gets left to the wayside, and Backlash could have been seriously upgraded if a team like the Usos were on the card.
Money in the Bank likely won’t have any tag team title matches, because it’d be easier for them to lump as many tag teams into the mix. This gets everyone on the show, and they can all fight for something with real stakes. The idea of a tag team cashing in a Money in the Bank contract sounds a bit wonky, but it honestly creates some cool possibilities. Like, could Luke Gallows cash in on Erick Rowan when he’s in a singles match with Eric Young? Something like that intrigues me.
Predicting the tag teams involved is a bit of a crapshoot, but I like the idea of The Ascension and Breezango riffing off each other during the match. The Authors of Pain have been in a classic ladder match before, so they should get an opportunity at Money in the Bank. Meanwhile, this kind of match sounds like a great way to introduce Sanity, as the wreak havoc on the rest of the tag teams in WWE.
Prediction: The Bar
