Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles

Balor Club? No, my friends, this is a feud all about Bullet Club. For the uninitiated, Bullet Club is a prominent heel stable in New Japan Pro Wrestling featuring foreign wrestlers. Finn Balor, formerly known as Prince Devitt, once led the Club, as did AJ Styles. Just like the Styles-Nakamura feud that we’re getting now, these two have history in Japan they can call upon. Maybe not as illustrious as the match between Styles and Nakamura, but there’s still something there.

We’ve been teased a Balor heel turn once or twice recently, and if he does turn heel, there’s a cross-brand feud to be had: who led Bullet Club better? Who’s a better leader? They don’t even have to mention the Club, but Balor could have a bone to pick with Styles about how he led the Club after he was gone. Look at the state Bullet Club is in: they’re basically in a civil war over who should be the leader, whether it be Cody Rhodes or Kenny Omega.

It’s not a crazy-deep feud, but it’s something the fans would enjoy, especially those that follow NJPW or at least just Bullet Club. It makes the Club’s infighting overseas more real, and it creates heat between two superstars that are going to need a new direction soon. They could do all sorts of new things during this feud, too. Could this be how we bring back the Demon?
