Drago, Aerostar, El Hijo de Fantasta, and Taiji Ishimori battled to be the next one to challenge for the X-Division Championship. The three men from Lucha Underground know each other very well but Ishimori looks to get well aqainted. Aerostar and Drago start this match out as they did at Redemption. Fantasma and Ishimori take the ring from the lucha stars and begin their battle.
The speed doesn’t slow down for these two as neither one can get an advantage. They take each out after Ishimori hit a Golden Star Moonsault. This left Aerostar and Drago back in the ring again as the match resets. There’s never a true reset point in these matches because the action moves so fast and furious.
Fantasma pulls out his strength attack as the style of match starts to change. His submission attempt was broken up and once again, the match begins to rev. There was so much going on in this match, who knows who will be victorious. This being a number one contender’s match, everyone tried to showcase their best offense. After all of the fireworks, it was Fantasma after the Thrill of the Kill, who will challenge Matt Sydal.
