Eli Drake Looks to Regain the World Championship
Eli Drake originally won the Tag Team Championship Feast or Fired case. He has such an obsession with the World Championship that he challenged Moose in a case for case match. Drake was victorious and would hold two cases. With the Tag Team Titles around his waist, he now wants to regain the Impact Wrestling World Title. Last week, he let Pentagon Jr. know that he would be challenging for his title on Thursday.
Pentagon Jr. tries to play mind games with Eli Drake but Drake jumps right on him. Pentagon takes control following two slingblades. He looks to break the arm of Drake but that allows Drake to fight back into this match. Drake is forced to keep up with Pentagon to stay in this match but once in control, he tries to slow the champ down. This match has a back and forth feel as it seemed like both men had studied the other.

Drake was able to show his athleticism when he jumped to the top rope to superplex Pentagon Jr. The match took a brawl like turn with the introduction of stiff strikes. It almost set up the Gravy Train but Pentagon had it well scouted. Drake goes aerial a little too much with a springboard moonsault that was reversed. The Pentagon Driver allows Pentagon Jr. to retain the Impact World Championship.
