Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Jobber

Andrade Almas defeated a jobber in a matter of minutes, showing his mean streak and overconfidence, as there was a brief moment where he let his guard down and was dropkicked. After the match, Zelina Vega cut a promo about how pathetic it was that after about a month of anticipation, THIS was the opponent SmackDown Live had lined up for the former NXT Champion.

Almas unsurprisingly rececived a massive pop before the match, but Vega got him booed with her promo after the match. She is indeed that damn good.

Rusev Day

Aiden English apologized to Rusev for not getting him a better room, but he explains that it’s London, the home of boring people. He even gets a “Rolling Stones” diss in there.

Lana shows up to interrupt English, and she tells Rusev that she has a chance to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank match next week against Billie Kay. I doubt she wins, especially after Peyton Royce lost to Charlotte Flair last week, but the chance of Lana and Rusev competing in separate ladder matches is quite interesting.

Furthermore, Rusev, English, and Lana all operated cohesively in this segment, though a storm could be brewing as far as English’s future involvement as a part of “Rusev Day” goes.
