Royal MellaBration

Carmella’s introduction from the “town crier” was absolutely tremendous, “From the Isle of Staten, the very same princess who defeated Charlotte Flair twice to become your esteemed SmackDown champion of all women. May God ignore the queen and may God save Carmella!”

Yeah. This is going to be awesome. As you could tell from her incredible earrings.

Carmella asks the crowd to shower her with all the praise they want for the next ten seconds, and what ensues is obviously a sea of boos and jeers from the London crowd.

The champ asks the crowd what’s wrong with them, dissing the “Royal Baby” for good measure.

The Princess of Staten Island started rattling off all the Superstars in the WWE she’s better than. She named the obvious ones like Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax. Then, she took it a step further by proclaiming that she’s better than Ronda Rousey AND Trish Stratus and Lita COMBINED,

Paige had enough, as her music hit. And after she was done with her little introductory speech, she received “This is your house!” chants.

As expected, Paige announces Carmella’s opponent for Money in the Bank, and it is none other than The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka.

Yeah, Carmella’s reign is in trouble. After losing her undefeated streak to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34, Asuka has her eyes set on the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and it’s hard to see anything or anybody stopping her from claiming that title as her own.

With Asuka out, Carmella wisely retreated, and she should be worried that her days as the SmackDown Women’s Champion are numbered.

Grade: B+, once again Carmella delivered with her promo, and I’m excited to see Asuka potentially take the title off of her.
