14. Roman Reigns (last week: 10)

For the first time in a while, Reigns is tumbling down on our list. He had no match, he opened the show, and he’s currently in a somewhat high-profile story. So what gives? How come he’s heading down?

Honestly, it all has to do with presentation and attitude. The Big Dog is allegedly a fan favorite. Yet all he does is whine and complain that “I should be the Universal Champion, waaaahh!” To top it off, he’s feuding with Jinder Mahal, who for the longest time was WWE’s biggest heel (I know, it sounds crazy, but it’s true). And Jinder is getting the cheers!

(More on Jinder later)

13. Sami Zayn (last week: 13*)

Over the past few weeks, Sami Zayn has quietly been working his way towards a feud with Bobby Lashley. This week in London, things took a turn towards the intense as the program kicked into high gear. Zayn addressed the situation with a pretty good promo, complete with his now trademark (I guess) reading glasses.

Later in the evening, Zayn made his presence felt as he assisted his buddy Kevin Owens win the final Raw qualifier for the Money in the Bank match. Just what did Zayn do? He proved to be a fly in the ointment for Lashley, opening the door for KO to earn the win. I’m not looking forward to Sami trotting out Lashley’s “sisters” next week on Raw. But for this week, the Underdog from the Underground had a good week.

(*: last week, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were both listed at number 13 due to their association as a tag team. This week, it became more clear that their “team” is more a working relationship, and the pair will be going their separate ways a bit more.)
