Jason Jordan

The storyline here writes itself. Jordan and Rollins were tag team partners earlier this year before a neck injury forced Jordan to the sideline. Rumors are swirling that Jordan’s return is scheduled for the coming weeks. If he’s fully cleared and able to get back to his style of wrestling, Jordan would fit nicely as a new challenger for Rollins title.

Jordan versus Rollins has the potential to be a long term story that could be pushed across the rest of 2018. Set the stage with Jordan returning to face Rollins as a surprise opponent. They’ve worked together in the past and can deliver a great match when the cameras are rolling. To set the stage for this storyline, Rollins should win cleanly in the first match. Jordan, who is Angle’s son in WWE-land, then begs and pleads with his father for another shot. Angle says no, but Jordan inserts himself into the challenge by attacking the next man that comes out the following week. This time, Jordan gets a victory by shady methods, to make it seem like he’s snatched away the title. Angle comes out to reverse the decision and restart the match, which Rollins wins again.

This narrative could go back and forth with Jordan even winning the title at one point and starting his own open challenge – with Rollins being the first challenger. There’s a big potential for creativity with what Rollins and Jordan could do in the ring together and what WWE Creative can do with them in a long-term storyline.
