Flip Gordon (0-1) & Toa Henare vs. Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki & Kanemaru (0-1))

Well, this match started with madness. Suzuki-gun took the fight all over Korakuen Hall, as Minoru Suzuki continued to be a menace to the first 3 rows of chairs, sending Henare crashing into them. Meanwhile, Kanemaru sent Gordon flying into a few rows of chairs too. Suzuki took Gordon back to the ring and proceeded to try and rip his arm off. Flip barely made it to the ropes, and Suzuki was clearly displeased.

Flip was able to turn the match around a bit once Kanemaru was tagged in. Henare made the hot tag and he went right after Suzuki, and then took it to Kanemaru. I can only imagine that Suzuki will not take kindly to this, and rip him apart before the end of the match. Suzuki did not disappoint with a leg lock that left Henare reaching for the ropes. Henare tried to keep up with Suzuki’s strikes, and Suzuki liked getting hit. Henare – you can’t beat him that way. Suzuki hit a massive overhand right, rocking Henare before locking in the sleeper. Suzuki turned it around and hit the Gotch Style Piledriver for the pinfall.

Result: Suzuki-gun

Suzuki destroyed some young lions by ringside before threatening Jushin Thunder Liger, who was on commentary for the Japanese audience. Guys, you might not have guessed this, but I love Minoru Suzuki. Kaze Ni Nare.

Los Ingobernables de Japon (SANADA & BUSHI (0-1)) vs. The Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori (1-0), Chase Owens)

Ishimori looked to dominate BUSHI in the early portions of the match, and demonstrated why he is a favourite to win the whole thing. Owens used his size to dominate BUSHI, and Ishimori used his incredible athleticism. Ishimori worked over the neck of BUSHI for a few minutes, but BUSHI was able to make the tag to SANADA after a swinging neckbreaker.

SANADA went for the Paradise Lock on Chase, but he managed to escape. Chase tried to do the Paradise Lock on SANADA, but didn’t know how. Milano Collection AT attempted to show him how from the announce table, but Chase still wasn’t able to. That was a really funny spot. SANADA was able to get the win with the Skull End on Owens.

Result: LIJ
