6. Su Yung

Every week, I’ll provide some high praise for Su Yung’s character work, because she’s just that important to Impact right now. This Knockouts Division wouldn’t quite tick without her “Undead Bride” character, which is so wonderfully creative and well-executed by the performer that it truly does seem to come to life on the screen. Yung didn’t appear on Impact this week, but she’s such a pivotal piece of this promotion that she’ll remain highly ranked no matter what. Few performers around the world have impressed me with their rise this year than Yung.

5. Austin Aries (Impact Grand Champion)

Next week on “Under Pressure”, which is a spiced-up regular episode of Impact television that contains multiple title matches, Austin Aries will get his rematch at the Impact World Championship when he takes on Pentagon Jr. Aries is destined to lose, but the question is, how will the current Impact Grand Champion lose?

Since his shocking loss at Redemption, which reverberated across the wrestling world, Aries has tried to downplay how much the loss has affected him. He’s referred to the Impact World Championship as the “other” world title, in an effort to promote the value of his Impact Grand Championship, which he has yet to seriously defend anyway. Clearly, Aries has been fixated on reclaiming the world championship, and he’ll get his chance to do it against Pentagon Jr.
