8. Lana

I still cannot believe that Lana defeated Billie Kay to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match, especially because she defeated Kay in short order. Lana’s husband Rusev is in the men’s ladder match, as he defeated Daniel Bryan in a could-have-gone-either-way kind of match to punch his ticket.

Could Lana make Money in the Bank a #HappyLanaDay? I highly doubt it, and it will be interesting to see how many moves she actually executes during the match. Ladder matches are dangerous and tricky, and Lana hasn’t proven she can navigate difficult matches. She’s still inexperienced in the ring, and while I’m sure she’s working hard to be prepared for this match, it’s extremely difficult to envision her winning, even if it would be exciting.

7. Naomi

Naomi defeated Sonya Deville to qualify for Money in the Bank this year, and I actually thought Sonya would pull off the upset. Because Naomi hasn’t been on WWE television frequently this month, she’s kind of a sleeper to win the match. It seems weird to talk about Naomi as a sleeper, because she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 33, won the first ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal this year, and was the champ going into Money in the Bank and SummerSlam last year.

That said, the briefcase doesn’t really fit Naomi, who is a pure babyface and isn’t turning heel any time soon. I mean, babyfaces can certainly win the briefcase, but Naomi just doesn’t seem like a logical option to me.
