WWE Money in the Bank 2018 Match Card Predictions Version 3.0
Jinder Mahal vs. Roman Reigns
This may not be a popular opinion, but I’m excited for this match between Roman Reigns and Jinder Mahal. His absolute dud of a match against Jeff Hardy at the Greatest Royal Rumble aside, Mahal has made significant strides in the ring. Before Seth Rollins beat him with a chair as revenge for last week’s attack, Mahal and The Kingslayer were putting together quite the match for the Intercontinental Championship.
Mahal will give Reigns a run for his money, but it would be unwise for Jinder to win this match. Hopefully this can be a match that showcases both performers, and Reigns and Jinder had a very underrated television match on Raw last year before Mahal became WWE Champion.
Roman’s match against Samoa Joe at Backlash received awful reactions, as the match was boring and did nothing to put over either performer’s brawling abilities. Jinder vs. Roman needs to be different, and it needs to take advantage of the heated reactions this Chicago crowd will inevitably display. When Roman speared Jinder through the wall, I was on my feet. I’m hoping to see that type of hard-hitting action on June 17 between these two.
There’s little doubt in my mind that WWE is still behind Jinder as one of the top heels on the Raw roster, but Roman is destined for bigger things. He’s winning this match, and he’s going to spear Sunil Singh right in half while doing it.
Prediction: Roman Reigns
