5 Superstars That Should Have Been In A Money In The Bank Match
By Dalton Quix
The field is set for both Money in the Bank matches this year, but there are some Superstars that missed out on the opportunity to participate.
After the final qualifying spots were filled by Samoa Joe and Sasha Banks for the Money in the Bank matches, there is officially no more room for anyone else to enter the matches.
The Men’s and Women’s matches have a star studded cast consisting of top Superstars from both brands now that Money in the Bank is a cobranded PPV. Stars like Finn Bálor, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Charlotte, Sasha, and Becky are all competing in the ladder matches this year.
Now, while there are definitely some stars and deserving Superstars in these matches, there are some Superstars deserving of the opportunity to compete in the ladder match that won’t get the chance to this year.
I understand that not everyone can be in the match, but there are some Superstars in the match that either don’t need the opportunity or aren’t ready for it yet. Someone as dominant as Braun Strowman doesn’t need a briefcase to get a world title shot, and women like Alexa Bliss and Charlotte have been champs for the majority of the past year and don’t need to get right back into title contention through the Money in the Bank match.
Meanwhile, Superstars like Bobby Roode or a member of The New Day just don’t pose as serious threats to win the briefcase. Roode has yet to solidify himself as a star as he struggles to get over as a face, and The New Day are still a strong faction looking to make an impact in the tag division. As for the women, do you really think Lana stands a chance in the chance in this match?
So, there are plenty of people that could be subbed out of these matches, but who should be the ones take their spots? Well, let’s take a look.
