1. Elias

Okay, now this is a decision that I am incredibly hot about. Elias is my boy, and he was my pick to go on and win the Money in the Bank briefcase. This guy is so over, and his progression to the top of the main roster is unbelievable.

He was virtually a nobody in NXT and debuted on Raw as nothing more than an enhancement talent. Since then, he has been able to go toe to toe with Roman Reigns and John Cena, has the crowd eating out of his hand on a nightly basis, and has the crowd going louder for him than anyone else when they chant that WWE stands for “Walk With Elias!”

WWE needs to run with his current success, but instead, they decided to go with someone who is the exact opposite of Elias: Bobby Roode. This guy saw a large amount of success in NXT but has floundered on the main roster, and despite the lack of investment from fans into his character, he was the one chosen to qualify for the ladder match!

I just can’t believe it! I mean think of all the angles that could be done with Elias as the contract holder. He could sing about his briefcase, about the Universal Championship, about Brock Lesnar or any of contenders, and it would all be gold!

Instead, Elias has his eyes set on another form of gold: The Intercontinental Championship. They will be squaring off in what will likely be a barnburner of a match at Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins has been on fire in the ring, and Elias has been on fire on the mic, so this rivalry and match almost makes up for Elias not being able to win the briefcase.

So, I guess I’ll have to root for Elias to be Intercontinental Champion instead of Mr. Money in the Bank and future Universal Champion at the PPV. I guess I’m okay with that as long as Elias eventually gets into that world title picture.
