Result: Bayley, Sasha Banks, & Ember Moon defeated The Riott Squad via pinfall

Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars

First off, who came up with Bliss, Banks, and Moon on the same team? Yes, they’re in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match; and yes, the other competitor in that match (Natalya) already competed and may be injured. But why would you mix the team like this?

To make matters worse, Bliss left the match early on after “injuring” her leg. So any kind of dissension in the ranks that may have been possible as a booking tool went out the window. A numbers disadvantage like what Banks and Moon faced here is not insurmountable, but we’re supposed to believe it is. Okay, then.

When Ember finally made the hot tag to Sasha, I figured the match was over, but the Riott Squad came back again. And from out of the blue, a hero appeared — Bayley headed to ringside to take a tag from Banks, because apparently to join a match you just need to stand the apron and tag in. Who knew?

So Bayley picks up the victory for the team she wasn’t actually on, and she’s best friends with Sasha Banks again? Unsurprisingly, the result of the match draws the ire of Constable Baron Corbin, and he forces Kurt Angle to vacate the win, and nothing matters anymore.
