Shayna Baszler and Nikki Cross Segment
After being humiliated by Nikki Cross last week, Shayna Baszler is out to kick off this week’s show.
Baszler talked about how she proved her dominance last week by destroying Dakota Kai, and then she brings up Nikki Cross getting involved.
She says that if Cross involves herself in her business again, then she will end her. Cross’ music hits to a big pop from the crowd.
Cross approaches the ring and the crowd chant ‘Cross is going to kill ya’ as she stands on the entrance during her entrance.
She gets in the ring and Baszler runs her down but Cross just stands there staring at her. I loved this dynamic, Baszler has always been the bully of NXT, and seeing her lost for words against Cross, who frankly, looked terrifying, was excellent to watch.
Eventually, Baszler lost it and threw the mic at Cross in a tantrum after threating to choke her out. Cross picked it up and kept repeating ‘do it Shayna’ over and over again. Once again, this was brilliant character work from Cross, and the crowd ate it up.
Eventually, Baszler pushed Cross, leading to Cross jumping on her and the two women brawling. Baszler managed to throw a punch and toss her rival out of the ring, but Cross finished the segment by just standing and laughing at her.
Both women were excellent throughout this segment and it was a great way to continue their feud from last week. Cross is delightfully twisted, while Baszler’s mic work continues to improve with each passing week. The crowd were hot for this as well, and the two women should put on an excellent match in Chicago.

The Mighty Vs Mike Hughly and Robbie Grand
Result: The Mighty Win with a punch to the back of the head
Grade: Squash
The newly named Mighty, formally known as TM61, continued to shine in their new heel roles on this week’s NXT, putting in an impressively devious display against a pair of enhancement talent.
After their quick victory, they announced their new name and also told The Undisputed Era, and Burch and Lorcan to be ready for them because they are coming for the tag team titles.
This was an effective squash, and the former TM61 are coming across much better in their new roles now.
