Kairi Sane Vs Lacey Evans

Result: Kairi Sane Wins the insane elbow

Grade: C+

The mini-feud that has been taking place in recent weeks between Kairi Sane and Lacey Evans has worked wonders for both women.

The rubber match between the two women on this week’s NXT was a fairly quick affair, but it allowed both women to show off their in-ring styles effectively.

Sane, desperate not to slip up again, showed a more aggressive approach to the match, and that will no doubt serve her well as she will probably move on to a feud with Shayna Baszler over the Summer. While Lacey Evans has developed a hard-hitting style over the course of these matches which perfectly suits her newer, more aggressive character.

After a fairly quick bout, Sane picked up the victory with the insane elbow, and the only gripe I have is that I would have liked to have seen these two women settle the score on a bigger stage. Both of them have been impressive in recent weeks, and a Takeover match would have given them some nice exposure to a bigger audience.

Sane will probably move into the title picture after Takeover: Chicago, and I hope that the WWE can find something interesting to do with Lacey Evans, who has developed into one of the more entertaining female talents on the NXT roster as of late.
