4. Is Bobby Roode slowly turning heel?

When Bobby Roode made his main roster debut and when it was revealed that he was playing a babyface who panders to the audience, the whole proceeding was underwhelming. Roode is tailor-made to be a classy heel. He had perfected that act in NXT and it reflects in his work. Roode’s babyface run has been underwhelming to say the least.

It lacks the spark to create any kind of excitement around the act. However, this week, he took on the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. The Roode we saw in that match was a different version of the character altogether. In addition to playing up his veteran instincts, Roode was also cocky, much like his heel days back in NXT.

A major issue with Roode’s character was that he was being reduced to merely a flashy entrance. But with a decent heel turn, creative can bring back the Roode from NXT and actually craft better storylines for him. The trash talking, arrogant version of Roode from this past Monday is a welcome addition to the present roster, that lacks decent heels outside of Elias, Kevin Owens and Jinder Mahal to an extent.

There are also rumors as reported by Wrestling News that Roode might be turning heel soon. Will we finally see the Glorious one we have come to know and love back in NXT on the main roster as well? Only time will tell.
